As a mom, I think I love Halloween as much as the kids and a Halloween Boo basket is a great way to kick off the season. I like to include Halloween goodies and treats to get Aubrey excited and I hope to share some inspiration with you!
What is a Boo Basket?
So you may be wondering, what is a Boo Basket? A Boo basket is just a basket (or any sort of container) that you can fill with Halloween themed goodies! This is my third year creating a Boo Basket and I have done similar baskets for Christmas, valentines, and back to school.
This year I picked up a witches caldron as a new Halloween decoration and used it for this year’s Boo Basket. In the past, I have used a simple trick or treat pumpkin.
What is in the Boo Basket?
Here is what I included in Aubrey’s Halloween Boo Basket this year.
Pajamas – Fall/ Halloween is usually the time I bring out Aubrey’s cold weather pajamas and without a doubt, she has usually grown out of a few pairs. The Boo basket is the perfect occasion to add a pair (or two) of Halloween pajamas and bundle with some smaller items as a gift basket for kids. Here is a round-up of some of my favorite Halloween pajamas this year.
Book – Aubrey’s bedtime routine includes reading a book before going to bed. At the end of each holiday, I pack away all of the holiday books with the decorations. This year I pulled out one of last year’s favorites “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and added it to her basket.
Activity Books – Coloring and activity books are the perfect addition to a Boo Basket. It allows us to play and learn together and enjoy a mess-free activity throughout the holiday season.
The Little Sticker Dolly Dressing Halloween book tells the story of Lara’s Birthday/Halloween costume party and all of the costumes that her friends are wearing to the party. Each page has corresponding stickers for each of the girl’s costumes.
The Halloween Sticker book includes reusable stickers to decorate a haunted house and build pumpkins and monsters, it is already becoming a hit in our house!
Bath Bomb – Bath time is usually a big hit at our house and Aubrey has always loved color tablets and bath crayons. When I saw this Glow in the Dark bath bomb I knew it would be a perfect addition to this year’s basket.
Body Wash – Tubby Todd is a new to us clean brand and I was excited to try their new Cherry Spice scent for the fall.
Gel Window Clings –Window clings make a great holiday decoration on our bathroom mirror. The Target Bulleye Playground is one of my favorite spots to pick up items for our holiday baskets and I was a little upset I late picking up Halloween band-aids this year!
Veggie Chips – I usually try to add a treat to our basket that is easy to pack in Aubrey’s lunch or as an afternoon snack. These come shaped as ghosts and bats, how cute!
31 Days of Halloween Bucket List – I also included a printable 31 days of Halloween Bucket List for us to enjoy, grab your FREE copy here.
